Macbeth
Macbeth is a Scotch whisky collection inspired by William Shakespeare’s famous Scottish play, The Tragedy of Macbeth. Macbeth was specially selected and bottled by Elixir Distillers in partnership with Livingstone, with character notes by whisky writer Dave Broom. The full cast of lead characters, thanes, witches, ghosts and members of Macbeth’s household have been brought to life with artwork specially commissioned from Sir Quentin Blake.
Limited bottlings of the Macbeth whisky collection will be revealed over five years, released in ‘Acts’ featuring characters from across the six series. Among the 42 Macbeth whisky 'characters' is the refined, elegant single cask of Glen Grant Speyside whisky cast as King Duncan, intensely smoky Islay and island whiskies depicted as the Witches and Murderers and the vanishing stocks of ghost distilleries that appear, naturally, as the Ghosts.
